After studying composition in the United States and Gregorian Chant at
The Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, Austria, Gregor DuBuclet graduated
From the Pierre Monteux Conducting School of the Domaine with Charles Bruch.
He enriched his conducting skills with Sergiu Celibidache.
He was subsequently named principal conductor of the Lakes Region
Symphony Orchestra (N.H., USA). Following a Masters Degree in viola performance
From the Frankfurt Conservatory, and engagements as solo violist with Yehudi
Menuhin at the Bregenz Music Festival as well as festivals in Berlin,
Paris, Rome, Madrid and Budapest (among others),
In 1993 he returned to conducting with a position with the
Staatsorchester Frankfurt/Oder (Kleist-Theater) His work with historical performance
practice began at the Mozarteum and, since 1995, has included solo
recitals and recordings on the viola d'amore.
Since 1998 ,Gregor DuBuclet conducts "Concerto Brandenburg", a baroque orchestra located in Berlin. In
2000-2001 he conducted the orchestra in a concert series in the
renowned Schauspielhaus am Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin.
Since 1999 , he conducts the Russian Chamber Orchestra "Allegro"
situated in Perm, Russia. In 2002 he was named Artistic Dierector of the
Wolfenbüttel Opera Festival and 2003 was the Music Director of the Hansa Theater
Berlin.Since 2005 Guest Professor at the Conservatory of Music in
Barcelona, Spain. Viola d 'Amore Soloist in the 2005 San Sebastian Music Festival
( Spain).Since 2005 he conducts the "Neues Sinfonieorchester Berlin",
located in Berlin, Germany.
