"AIDA'S SISTERS" IN CONCERT
The history of a people, namely Black Americans perhaps can best be manifested through the history of their music. This approach may be atypical to recount the history of a people, but at once more illustrative to talk about the past.
The different historical steps of the black people in the United States can be re-traced by observing the evolution of their music.
Black American music like music of Latin America and the Carribbean finds its origins in the music imported by the African slaves.
In the framework of this historical retrospective, the musical project "AIDA'S SISTERS an History of Black America through Songs" was conceived by Harry Louiserre, Managing Director of Classic in Black and African-American opera singers,Del Fionn Sykes, Michelle Owens, and Lisa Bryce.
